The Center for Defense Journalism operates the Defense Information Service. This service is designed to assist news reporters and editors with obtaining high quality defense and military related information.
There are two ways to access Defense information using this service, through the web sites listed below or by contacting the Center for Defense Journalism directly.
The Center's staff will assist legitimate news organizations with the following types of information.
Edit copy for technical errors regarding military equipment,
technology, history, tactics and organization.
Answer requests for specific information pertaining to military
subject matter.

Defense News: Worldwide Defense information source .
Military and Arms, Transfer News: Worldwide military and defense news briefs from major media outlets.
Federation of American Scientists: Excellent weapons related information site
