Using the Collection

Loans and Renewals

Individuals with a current Boston University "Terrier" card, a Boston University alumni card, or a Consortium card issued by a library that is a member of the Boston Library Consortium, are eligible to borrow library materials.

Books circulate for 28 days to undergraduate students, alumni, and consortium borrowers, and for 19 weeks to graduate students, faculty and staff. Loans may be renewed twice, unless the item is recalled by another patron. Renewal is possible beginning the week before the due date. Using a PIN (personal identification number), you can access your patron record and renew your own loans. PINs can be added to your patron record by the staff at the circulation desk. You may also renew in person at the circulation desk or call 353-3734 for telephone renewal.

Fines are incurred for items returned after their due dates and for items not returned.
