Welcome to the Reference/ Information Services Desk
at Pardee Library!
Reference Librarians and Reference Assistants are available
to help students, faculty and staff with business research
and to provide assistance with the BU Library Catalog, business databases,
Bloomberg, business journals and other business sources available
at Boston University and elsewhere.

You are invited to drop by the Reference/Information Desk,
across from the Circulation and Reserve desk,on the 3rd floor of Pardee.
This desk is staffed an average of 65 hours a week with Reference
Librarians and Reference Assistants.
You may wish to make an appointment for in-depth assistance.
Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Reference desk at 617-353-4303/4. You can also submit a question to our online Ask-a-Librarian service.
Library Classes:
The Reference Librarians conduct sessions on research
for regularly scheduled SMG classes throughout the year and
orienations to Pardee Library resources at the beginning of each semester.

Bloomberg:
The Bloomberg terminal is available near the Reference Desk
whenever the library is open. Please sign up for half hour
use at the Reference Desk. To consult our online help guides
to using Bloomberg, go to the series of Bloomberg
Tutorials we have developed.
Pardee Library manages a Bloomberg Certificate Program.
Bloomberg Certificate Participants can sign up for a one
hour session each day. To learn about the duration
and requirements of the program, consult the Bloomberg
Certification Program description. For information about

Guides and Tutorials
The Reference Librarians develop guides to business topics
and tutorials on business subjects to support the SMG curriculum.

Reference Collection
Our Reference Books on the 3rd floor are organized by subject
and a list of these titles is online. For your convenience,
the locations for these books are given.
