Now
in its twenty-fifth year, the London Internship Program offers a semester
of study and work in Englands exciting capital city. This program
combines a professional internship with coursework that examines a
particular academic area in the context of Great
Britains
history, culture and society, and its role in modern Europe. Courses
in each academic area are taught by selected British faculty exclusively
to students enrolled in the Boston University program. Upon successful
completion of a semester, students earn 16 Boston University credits.
The First Five Weeks (Core Phase)
Students take one core course in their academic area to prepare for their internships, and one elective course. Students also meet with the programs internship placement advisors to refine their area of work placement according to ability, professional goals, experience, and work habits.
The Final Nine Weeks (Placement Phase)
Students participate in Londons work life through assigned internships that complement their particular academic concentration and personal goals. Students intern full-time, four days a week, while enrolled in a related, weekly seminar course.
