Admissions

Application Deadline:

Spring Semester: Extended to October 31, 2009 (Originally October 15)

For Spring 2010, the application deadline has been extended to October 31, 2009.

Admissions Calendar:

Review of applications will begin according to the following timetable.

Requirements:

  • • Undergraduate or graduate status
  • • Minimum 3.0 GPA (in major and overall)
  • • All students must complete the full 18-credit program, enrolling in four academic courses

Previous coursework or fieldwork in anthropology or archaeology desired, but not required.

Students admitted to the program must be able to engage in fieldwork in hot temperatures for significant periods of time.

Program Fee

Spring 2010 Program Cost: $24,879

The following are included in the program fee:

  • • Tuition

  • • Airfare from Miami
  • • Field trips
  • • Emergency travel assistance coverage

Boston Staff

The Boston University Guatemala program is administered by staff at Boston University. A program manager manages the admissions and orientation procedures, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival in Guatemala. The Boston Office also houses administrative personnel who are responsible for everyday operations.
