Admissions

Application Deadlines:

Fall Semester/Academic Year: March 15
Spring Semester: Extended to October 31, 2009 (Originally October 15)

For Spring 2010, the application deadline has been extended to October 31, 2009.

Admissions Calendar:

Review of applications will begin according to the following timetable.

Requirements:

  • • Minimum 3.0 GPA (in major and overall)
  • • Grades of B or better in Italian
  • • Open to students who have completed at least two semesters of college-level Italian language or the equivalent
  • • All students must complete the full 16-credit program, enrolling in four academic courses

Program Fee

2009/2010 Program Cost: $24,879

The following are included in the program fee:

  • • Tuition
  • • Housing
  • • Board
  • • Airfare from a designated East Coast US city
  • • Field trips
  • • Emergency travel assistance coverage

Boston University Scholarships for Study in Italy
Boston University International Programs and the Interdisciplinary Italian Studies Program offer academic scholarships for study in Padova. Funded by Boston University and through the generous support of the Massachusetts Quincentennial Fund and others, scholarships are for semester and academic-year study, with awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Applications will be sent to accepted students upon request.

Additional expenses to consider.

The cost for 2010/2011 has not yet been announced and will be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees at Boston University.

Boston Staff

The Boston University Padova Programs are administered by staff in both our Boston and Padova offices. In Boston, a program manager facilitates the admissions and orientation procedures, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival in Padova. The Office also houses administrative personnel who are responsible for everyday operations. In Padova, the staff comprises a resident director, administrative, academic and housing personnel.
