Office

Instituto Internacional

Home to the offices of the Boston University Madrid program, the Instituto Internacional was founded in 1892 by a Bostonian, Alice Gordon Gulick. Recently declared a national monument of historic interest, the Instituto is located in the heart of Madrid and has an excellent lending library, cafeteria, auditorium, and computer lab.

Housing

Students are placed in Spanish households, where they have their own rooms and take meals with their hosts. Boston University arranges household accommodations for students to facilitate their language acquisition and to integrate them directly into Spanish society and culture through the use of Spanish language in the context of daily living.
