Spring Semester: January 12th to May 3rd, 2009

Graduates of the Boston University School of Theater and graduated students of other college/university theatre-training programs are invited to participate in the College of Fine Arts (CFA) – Acting in Hollywood Program.

This eight-credit, four-month intensive program has already attracted the participation of some of Hollywood’s most important professionals such as Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment; Joe Roth, President of Revolution Studios (named as one of the ‘10 most important people in Hollywood’); Jason Alexander (star of “Seinfeld” as well as scores of other stage, film and television projects), and many others. The program, the first of its kind, is a 'bridge to the professional world' of Hollywood that includes:

  • Focused class study
  • Internships four days a week in Hollywood theatrical agent and casting offices
  • Industry professionals speaking to and coaching students on a regular basis
  • A speaker series where industry professionals speak and coach students on a regular basis
  • Supervised collaborative projects with other LA internship students
  • Auditioning for actual TV/Film projects
  • Showcasing the class to casting directors, agents and managers, through meetings, mailings and audition opportunities
  • Four credits each for the internship and acting course
