College-graduated students who have experience in writing/development for film and television are invited to participate in the Boston University College of Fine Arts (CFA), and College of Communication (COM) – The Writer in Hollywood.

This eight-credit, four-month intensive program has already attracted the participation of some of Hollywood’s most important professionals such as Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment; Joe Roth, President of Revolution Studios (named as one of the “10 most important people in Hollywood”); Jason Alexander (star of “Seinfeld” as well as scores of other stage, film and television projects), Jonathan Littman (President, Jerry Bruckheimer Television), and many others. The program is designed to be a “bridge to the professional world” of Hollywood that includes:

  • Focused class study
  • Internships with Hollywood literary agencies, production and development offices
  • Industry professionals speaking to and coaching students on a regular basis
  • Supervised collaborative projects with other students in the LA Internship Program
  • One-on-one professional review and critiques of student writing
  • Showcasing writers and their work to agents, managers, producers and development executives through meetings, mailings and/or “pitch” opportunities.
