Strong written and oral communications, along with a solid grounding in liberal arts, are the essential building blocks for success in any communications field. That's why the College of Communication ensures that all students become proficient in these critical skills by providing the academic, research, and professional training needed for successful entry into this competitive arena. Students choose from a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree opportunities, including several dual degree programs, leading to fulfilling careers in advertising, public relations, film, television, mass communications, and a host of journalism tracks.

- The Los Angeles Internship Program offers a semester of study and work in the heart of the film and television industry.
- The Washington Journalism Center offers students the chance to spend a semester reporting and studying in the best political city in the world.
- The Boston State House Program gives students the opportunity to work as correspondents for leading Massachusetts daily news outlets.
- A variety of internship programs give students real-life experience in journalism, film and television, multimedia and mass communications, or advertising.
- Dual degree programs are available in Television Management, Mass Communications and Law, or International Relations and Communications.
