  Financial Aid
Because we believe in rewarding academic excellence, Boston University offers a wide variety of merit awards, some of which cover full tuition. For a complete list of scholarships offered at Boston University and selection criteria, please see the Scholarships section of our website.

Need-based grants are awarded based on a combination of calculated need and academic merit. To apply for need-based aid, you must complete two financial aid forms: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the College Scholarship Service (CSS)/Financial Aid PROFILE. For more details on the types of awards that may appear in a Boston University financial aid package, or on how eligibility is determined and packages are awarded, please refer to the Office of Financial Assistance website.

In addition to University-sponsored merit awards and need-based grants, Boston University offers a payment plan and participates in several independent loan programs that are available to parents. These financing opportunities are detailed on the Loan and Financing Options page of the Office of Financial Assistance website.
