Ticket Office and Ticketing
Agganis Arena Ticket Office has an exclusive arrangement with Ticketmaster
and features a fully computerized online ticketing system
offering full-service ticketing and marketing options. The
Ticket Office has (7) ticket windows adjacent to the Southeast
Arena main entrance and lobby. All tickets for admission to
any event(s) at Agganis Arena must be sold or distributed
through the Ticket Office.
Boston Fire Code
OEHS and the Office of Physical Plant conduct building inspections for compliance with the Boston Fire Code, NFPA 101-Life Safety Code, and other applicable fire/life safety regulations. The Boston Fire Department, in coordination with OEHS, conducts regular Life Safety inspections on university buildings, and in assembly areas at the University. Emergency planning and building inspections help to ensure the BU community is safe from fires.
Broadcast
Agganis Arena is pre-cabled for hockey, ice show, and concert
camera positions with digital-rated triax, coax and audio
pairs terminated on industry standard connectors. There are
(4) SNV/ENG parking positions on Agganis Way that are cabled
into the Arena with interconnect to the production truck location
at the loading dock.
Concessions and Catering
All concessions and catering services are provided exclusively
by Sportservice. A catering room is available to shows upon
request. There is a 4,250-square foot kitchen that is fully
equipped; an on-site chef provides cuisine for all catered
events. Additionally, there are (5) concession stands and
portable carts with over (44) points-of-sale.
Disabled Access
Agganis Arena meets all Massachusetts State Accessibility and
Federal ADA requirements and exceeds these requirements in
many areas.

- (44) wheelchair positions at the Concourse Level, with
(44) adjacent companion seats.
- (13) wheelchair positions at Ice Level, with (13) adjacent
companion seats.
- Flexibility in all private suites to accommodate a wheelchair.

Emergency Equipment
Agganis Arena is equipped with state-of-the-art fire sprinklers
and smoke detection equipment, and fire extinguishers are
located throughout the facility and office areas. There are
two emergency generators that will provide uninterrupted power
for sound and lighting in the event of power failure.
Forklifts
Agganis Arena owns (2) 5,000-lb. LPG-powered forklifts.
First Aid center
There is a First Aid center Southwest section of Agganis Arena on the Concourse Level.
The First Aid center is staffed with an EMT and is equipped
to treat minor injuries and assess the need for further medical
treatment.
Guest Services Office
There is a Guest Services Office in the Northeast section of Agganis Arena located behind Section 102. Guest Services is staffed with knowledgeable personnel who can assist you with your various needs during an event at Agganis Arena.
Passenger Elevators
There are a total of (4) passenger elevators. Two are located
in the southeast corner of the Arena and both serve the two
levels of parking garage traveling to the main street level
promenade, directly adjacent to the Arena Ticket Office and lobby.
There are two additional elevators, one each in the southwest
and northwest corners of the Arena. The use of these elevators
is restricted to Suite and Premium Seat holders, and both
can be utilized to provide ADA access from the Arena lobby
to the Concourse Level.
Pyrotechnics
Pyrotechnics and smoke/fogging effects are allowed with a
special permit issued by the Boston Fire Department.
Francis D. Burke Club Room
Agganis Arena features a 5,600-square foot Private Club Room that
can accommodate up to 600 guests, with a fully equipped pantry
kitchen and full service wet bar. The room is also equipped
with a state-of-the-art public address and presentation audio
system.
Production, Media/Multipurpose Rooms
There are (2) production, media/multipurpose rooms available
for show use.
The Media/Multipurpose room is 520 square feet and is equipped
with (4) outlets at each of (5) locations, which can be used
for either phone or Internet connections.
The Production room is 750 square feet and is equipped with
(4) outlets at each of (5) locations, which can be used for
either phone or Internet connections.
Public Restrooms
There are (15) public restrooms, all complying with Massachusetts
State requirements. All public
restrooms are equipped with baby-changing stations. All plumbing
fixtures have touchless flush valves or faucets.
Scoreboard and Video System
The Arena has a state-of-the-art center-hung 17' x 24' Daktronics scoreboard
with a four sided 9' x 13' LED video screen featuring a fully
integrated video, audio, and scoring system. The 21,000-lb.
scoreboard features full video, animation, and graphics capabilities.
Telephones
The Arena has three public pay phones adjacent to the main lobby
ticket box office. All the public pay phones are accessible to Guests
in wheelchairs and one is equipped for TTY/TDD use.

Management
Welcome to Agganis Arena at Boston University. We look forward
to hosting your event in our first-class facility located
in the heart of the City of Boston. Guests can easily access
the Arena via Storrow Drive, I-90, and public transportation
on the T. The Arena is staffed with 16 full-time professionals
who oversee booking, event management, marketing, operations,
and ticketing. Agganis Arena is owned and operated by Boston
University; Arena executive staff members report directly
to the Office of the Executive Vice President.
Facility Description
Agganis Arena is a state-of-the-art, multiuse sports and entertainment
center. A 290,000-square
foot premier venue with 6,300 fixed seats for hockey and ice
shows, the Arena is expandable to over 7,200 seats for concerts,
sporting events, and family entertainment.

Agganis Arena is conveniently located on Commonwealth Avenue
near Kenmore Square in Boston. The Arena can expertly assist
