Tattoos, Picnics, and Ceiling Fans: The Strange World of Brand Communities
Presented by Professor Patrick Kaufmann
Join your fellow alums for good food and conversation, hosted by Professor Patrick Kaufmann. Stay for his insightful commentary on the current state of brand communities.

Bondi Bar and Kitchen
333 Fifth Ave. (between J and K), Gaslamp Quarter
San Diego, CA
Tattoos, picnics, and ceiling fans are some of the many artifacts in the strange world of brand communities. Do the clothes you wear really make you who you are? Do you feel kinship with other members of the Pepsi Generation? Over the past century, technology has changed the way in which we view ourselves in relation to others and the brands we purchase. We have responded by taking brands very seriously, some of us going so far as to weave brands into the social fabric of our lives. Kaufmann will explore the sources, manifestations, and implications of this important marketing phenomenon.
Advance reservations are required ($20 per person). Call 617.353.5618 with any questions.
