“There’s a curious phenomenon alumni feel,” explained Steve Karbank (CAS’79), president of the Boston University Alumni Council. “It seems that the further away one is from Boston, the stronger and more deeply felt the connection to Boston University.”
To welcome departing international students into the BU alumni community and ensure students stay connected even as they prepare to leave Boston, BU’s Office of Alumni Relations with support from the Center for English Language and Orientation Programs (CELOP) held a farewell reception on May 1.
