BU ADC Job Openings
The BU ADC has openings for two Clinical Research Assistants.  One research assistant will be investigating new methods of determining driving safety in the elderly.  The second position requires coordinating a study looking at the relationship between mild thyroid dysfunction and cognitive impairment.  Please click here for more in-depth descriptions.

Participate in the New Vaccine Study for Alzheimer's disease
The BU ADC is currently enrolling participants for the launch of a new treatment study for individuals with Alzheimer's disease (AD).  The Investigational Clinical Amyloid Research in Alzheimer's (ICARA) study is investigating the use of a vaccine drug called Bapineuzumab to slow the progression of AD.  For more information, click here.

Genetic Testing for Alzheimer's disease in the News
ADC Clinical Core Director, Dr. Robert C. Green, recently appeared on a broadcast of the CBS Evening News where he discussed new commercial methods of genetic testing for Alzheimer's disease.  Read the article online or watch the video of the broadcast by clicking here.

Flurizan Study in the News
The BU ADC is a site for the Flurizan study. Learn more. Also, read the recent USA Today story on the study and view the local ABC news clip that recently featured Flurizan. Home-Based Assessment Study
We are now enrolling participants in a study  that seeks to determine how easy it is to detect cognitive changes in adults aged 75 years or older from the comfort of their homes. Three at-home methods are used to detect cognitive change, including paper questionnaires, telephone interviews, and computer-based assessments. Learn more.

Pilot Grant Program Proposal Deadline

The BU ADC is now accepting new proposals for the Pilot Grant Program.  At least two selected grants will be funded in the amount of $25,000 for one year.  The deadline for proposal submission is February 15, 2009.  For more information, click here.
