Overview
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is an educational organization that conducts programs of research, discussion, publication, and education in international relations and U.S. foreign policy. The Endowment provides up to twelve junior fellowships to recent graduates who desire careers in international affairs. Junior Fellows provide research assistance in Washington, DC to Associates working on non-proliferation, democracy, international economics, immigration, and regional issues throughout the world. Junior Fellows assigned to Foreign Policy magazine work as editorial assistants and participate in all aspects of the magazine production. Fellows receive monthly compensation plus benefits include medical, dental, and life insurance. A relocation reimbursement will also be provided to individuals relocating to the Washington, DC area. Fellowships begin in June of each year. All Junior Fellows are hired for a period of approximately one year.
Eligibility
Boston University may nominate two students for the Carnegie Endowment's Junior Fellows Program. Applications are accepted only from graduating college seniors or individuals that have graduated within the past academic year who earned a cumulative grade point average in excess of 3.5. No one will be considered who has started graduate studies. Applicants must have completed a significant amount of coursework in the area of international affairs or economics.
