Apply by Mail

To apply by mail, either download and print the relevant forms below or request a paper application form by e-mailing grartsci@bu.edu, providing your name, mailing address, and intended area of study.

Send your completed forms together with all supplementary application materials to:

When applying by mail your application fee of $70 must be paid in U.S. currency or check, international money order, or an international check in U.S. funds drawn on a bank in the United States. Credit card payment or Traveler's Checks cannot be accepted with a paper application. If you wish to pay by credit card then please complete the application online. This non-refundable fee cannot be waived or deferred. Applications will not be considered without the application fee.

Forms

• Application Form and Instructions
  For those submitting a paper application or for those who cannot apply online and must apply
  using the paper application, both the School Copy and the Department Copy of the application
  must be completed, signed and submitted. The Admissions Office cannot accept faxed or scanned copies of the paper application.

  Recommendation for Admission Form
  For those who cannot use the online application and its online recommendation system, print one
  copy of the form for each recommender.
  Important:
  • For those using the online recommendation system, do not submit paper copies of
    the online recommendation.
  • For those using the paper application form, you cannot use the online
    recommendation system. You must use paper recommendation forms.

Additional forms for international applicants only:

• International Student Data Form (ISDF)
• Sponsorship Certification Form (for financial support required by the ISDF)
• Estimate of Expenses
