Who is eligible to be a PI on a grant? Standing policy is:

• Anyone holding an appointment as a (assistant, associate, or full) professor or research professor
• A senior research associate or research instructor, provided the work is closely associated with the research of a faculty member
• Adjunct faculty—unusually, and on a special approval basis.
