Research interests: My research focuses on economic geography and sustainable development. I am particularly interested in the relations among patterns of energy use, transportation networks, and changes in production technologies. Toward this end, my current research focuses on changes in Chinese energy consumption and how changes in demand and production technologies change the relation between humans and their environment.
