Akira Mizukami
Akira Mizukami, originally from Japan, enrolled in CELOP's intensive English language training program in 2004. On May 14, 2006, he had the honor of being the first Japanese person to graduate from the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University School of Law. He works for an accounting firm in New York as a tax specialist.
I chose to study at CELOP because it has a very good reputation. I acquired excellent debating and speaking skills there. CELOP teachers are true experts in their field and I confirmed this through my graduation from Boston University School of Law. While I studied at the Law School, these were very effective and useful for me.
CELOP’s staff prepared everything for the students. They are so knowledgeable and professional; they are truly excellent guides for people who just came to the U.S. CELOP is the best place to learn English and to meet friends from all over the world that you couldn't possibly forget.
My experiences with the teachers and students at CELOP changed my life in a positive way. My teachers always helped me to believe in the innumerable possibilities for my self-development. I encountered many challenges and difficulties during BU Law School. For example, it was very difficult for me to keep up with classes without preparation. On such occasions, I would recall the proverb, "Nothing is impossible,” good words learned at CELOP. So, I decided to make an effort to prepare for classes and review after classes, more than the American students did.
I would encourage anyone interested in studying English to take classes at CELOP. They will gain more knowledge than they would be able to just from books; they will have an excellent experience learning with students from all over the world.
