Malak AbedMalak Abed

Malak, originally from Saudi Arabia, began studying at CELOP in September 2005.  She earned an M.D. in Saudi Arabia and she is a Molecular Pathology  specialist.

Why did Malak decide to enroll in CELOP classes?

I like the specialized programs that CELOP offers especially the new generation IBT TOEFL.  I like the fact that CELOP is part of Boston University and that the teachers are so experienced.  CELOP was better than all of the other language centers I compared it to, because it offered the best preparation to study at an American University.

CELOP offers many wonderful opportunities to meet people from all over the world.  I have had the chance to learn from students from Europe, Asia, South and Central America, and many other places.

In two months at CELOP, I learned as much about American culture as I would have in years elsewhere.  I have especially enjoyed learning about Halloween.

When reflecting on what she learned at CELOP,  Malak states,

My reading, writing and speaking skills have improved tremendously in the time I have spent at CELOP.  I have mastered new techniques for learning Grammar and Vocabulary.

I will always remember my teachers' kindness both in and out of class.  My teachers have been very patient, helpful, and flexible.

I think that studying at CELOP is definitely the best way to start a life and career in the United States.
