Housing Options
On-campus housing
Former CELOP students will tell you that living in university residences (dorms) with other students—both American and international—was an important part of their Boston University experience. When you live on campus, you will normally share a room with one or more people in a dormitory-style residence. All residences are secure, and all have a Resident Assistant available to help you adjust to your new home.

Homestay
CELOP does not arrange homestays for our students or recommend any particular one. If this is an option that interests you, contact the organizations below to help you find a homestay.
When you contact a homestay, make sure that you ask a lot of questions. Ask what all the fees will be before agreeing to or signing anything. Make sure you have them list what is included IN WRITING. If you don't understand something, ask questions. Make sure that all of your questions are answered before you pay any money.

Roommates
Many young adults in Boston live with roommates to share expenses. When one roommate moves out and they need to replace this person, they often advertise for roommates in the newspaper and on websites, such as craigslist or Boston Apartments.
Also, CELOP students who live off campus are often looking for new roommates. When you arrive at CELOP, you can check the notices on our bulletin boards to find out if there is a situation that would meet your needs.
