CELOP Recorder

CELOP Recorder is a simple Macintosh audio recorder that we developed several years ago to provide as simple a voice recording interface as possible. It doesn't have many features, and there are a few quirks. It allows students to record their voice and save it. Download it and the primer (PDF) for free.

Non Features

    • not a waveform editor
    • recordings cannot be edited in CELOP Recorder
    • file format is Sy7 Sound
    • preset maximum recording time depending on quality setting
    • 3 sound quality settings (lower quality=smaller file size+longer recording time)

System Requirements

Mac OS 7.0 — 9.2
PPC or 68K processor (I think, never tried the latter)
Microphone (built-in or PlainTalk)
