MacAbilities Quiz & Tutorial
These questions will help you assess your skills on the Mac and give you some idea of what you need to know before you begin (or continue) teaching in the Multimedia Language Lab at CELOP (or any Macintosh environment). They are neither technical nor esoteric; you need to know these fundamentals to make life on a Mac easier and your work effective. Many questions are not necessarily platform specific and therefore apply to PC users as well.
In the frame on the top of the window on the following pages will appear the response--whether your answer is correct or not--your running score, and, when the correct answer is chosen, further comment on the question. If you do not choose the correct answer at first, try until you do.
The questions are divided among five categories:
- General Computing/Mac Skills (multiple choice)
- General Application Skills (multiple choice)
- Networking (multiple choice)
- Icon identification (Matching)
- Web Vocabulary (Crossword puzzle)
