School of Music students and students involved in other music organizations at the College of Fine Arts spend many hours each day in classes, ensemble rehearsals, performances, master classes, and lectures. The city of Boston boasts a wealth of some of the finest performing arts groups in the world, in addition to its vast historic and artistic culture. Students are highly encouraged to explore the city to take advantage of the opportunities and events available through Boston University and through what is collectively offered in the greater metropolitan Boston.
