Small Group Studies

Fitness and Fellowship: Marsh Plaza, 9:15am

Fitness and Fellowship ministers to people interested in strengthening both their body and their soul. Led by Ministry Associate/Spin Instructor Jeri-Katherine, Fitness and Fellowship exercises are accessible to all ability levels. Don't forget to bring workout clothes! Fitness and Fellowship will end with plenty of time to clean up before worship.

Marsh Chapel News Reel: Robinson Chapel, 9:30am

The world is constantly changing, and as citizens of this world it is our responsibility to be aware of these changes and develop an appropriate response. News Reel is a place where people can construct and refine how they engage with the world ethically and faithfully. People of all backgrounds--and all political views--are invited to this discussion, led by Ross Ponder and Augie Delbert. Feel free to bring a thought-provoking article or news clip!

Sunday Morning Study: Thurman Room, 9:45am

This class is about digging deeper into spirituality and our Christian lives. Discussion spans a wide variety of topics, with references to a diversity of theologians and traditions. The Sunday Morning Study is taught by Susan Forshey.

Marsh Forum: Dean's Office, 9:45am -- the first two weeks of each month

Marsh Forum delves into a different discussion topic every month, exploring the state of both the church and the world. Discussion is facilitated by Dean Hill and various BU faculty members. Given the limited space of this discussion, the Marsh Forum is unfortunately on an invitation-only basis, but anyone who is interested is invited to approach Dean Hill.

Morning Breakfast

Marsh Room, 10:30am

There's no need to go to worship on an empty stomach! Come sit down with the choir for a quick breakfast and coffee before the service starts. Breakfast preparation is a rotating responsibility among choir members and volunteers, so breakfast food ranges from cereal to empanadas to soufflés.

Interdenominational Protestant Worship

Sanctuary, 11:00am / broadcast on 90.9FM WBUR / available by podcast

Sunday morning worship is the pinnacle of our life here at Marsh Chapel. Lift up your voice with the forty-plus members of Marsh Chapel Choir, meditate on the theological cogitations of Dean Hill or simply bask in the warm light streaming through the chapel's intricate stained glass. Worship proudly represents responsible Christian liberalism, maintaining the wisdom of 2000 years of Christian tradition while looking forward to a progressive future. Communion is served the first Sunday of every month. Childcare provided!

Community Luncheon

Marsh Room, 12:00pm

Connect with your community and enjoy a delicious meal all at the same time! The luncheon is a great time to catch up with friends of old and new, and there is nothing like homecooked food to facilitate those burning theological discussions. The Community Luncheon is free, but donations are encouraged.

"Speaking of Faith" listen and discussion group: Dean's Office, 12:00pm

After grabbing a plate of food at the Community Luncheon, come listen to and discuss Krista Tippet's Speaking of Faith program, national public radio's program on ethics and world religion. "Speaking of Faith fills an important and neglected need in American media by addressing the intellectual and spirit content of religion head-on, illuminating the ideas and practices that form the headlines from the inside."
