Volume 2, Issue 3

Common GroundDear friends,

And away we go! The semester has started, the U.S. has inaugurated a new president, and life and ministry at Marsh Chapel are well underway. What could be wrong with the world?

Um ... well ... right. So there are still plenty of things to work on. May the light of Christ this Epiphany season be a guide upon our path to well-being and justice in our world.

Moving ever onward toward perfection, we hope your heart will be warmed by our first-week retrospective and that your heart will be warmed this Sunday as the Marsh Chapel Choir presents the third in its Bach cantata series. Every Sunday at Marsh Chapel is a chance for warmth of heart and we hope you will take advantage of the full flowering of Sunday morning offerings. Speaking of hearts, we encourage you to join us on Friday, February 13th for an early Valentines Day party.

We look forward to your participation in our life and ministry together and, as the Spirit moves, your material support.

May the new year continue to be a blessing to us all in heart and mouth and deed and voice.

Peace,

Br. Lawrence A. Whitney, LC+
University Chaplain for Community Life
