Jeri Katherine Warden
Jeri Katherine graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 2007 with a B.A. in English. She is currently in her second year of the Masters of Divinity program at BU's School of Theology. Jeri Katherine feels called by God to ordained ministry. She comes to Marsh Chapel from the South Carolina conference as a certified candidate in the United Methodist Church.
She is excited and honored to serve the BU community as a Ministry Associate for the 2008-2009 academic school year. She is happy to be a part of the Marsh Chapel family for many reasons, but hopes to nurture a new and growing outreach ministry to BU student-athletes. As a former Division I NCAA track and field athlete and a former BU terrier mid-distance runner, she hopes to use those years of experience to empathize and speak to the challenges and needs of BU Christian student-athletes. Life as a student-athlete and seminarian has equipped and prepared Jeri Katherine to reach a BU constituency that has, until this point, not been within the immediate outreach ministries of Marsh Chapel. Marsh Chapel's mission boasts of reaching and serving a diverse BU community; as a Ministry Associate, Jeri Katherine believes she will contribute to Marsh Chapel's mission in fostering relationships, support, and guidance within the BU student-athlete community--a very diverse community within itself. Jeri Katherine hopes her experiences as a student-athlete, involvement in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, passion for sport, and love of people and God will enable her to inspire, connect and share God's love with BU's student-athletes.
