The Department of Classical Studies awards Teaching Fellowships
(TF) to qualified PhD students. These fellowships carry a stipend
of $17,500 per academic year, with tuition remission, and are renewable.
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences awards Presidential University
Graduate Fellowships (PUGF) and Dean's Fellowships for which each
department may nominate incoming students. These fellowships provide
a stipend of $16,500, with tuition remission, for up to four years
of study, with no teaching duties required in the initial year.
Research Assistantships are available in the Institute for the Classical
Tradition and in the offices of Arion. In addition, graduate students
are eligible for teaching positions, paid per course, in the Department
and in the Boston University Academy.
