Professor Clark's background is in communications writing, and she began by working as a retail advertising manager/copywriter, then served as a public relations manager. For over a decade she owned Media Wise, a promotional writing service, where she wrote videos, multi-image shows, features, press kits, brochures, newsletters, print, and broadcast ads. In addition to her teaching duties, she is writing and publishing short stories.
