John Hall teaches communication writing and film studies courses at Boston University. As a preceptor, he teaches writing for journalism, film and television, public relations and advertising. He also teaches classes on film criticism and film studies in the film department. His film articles have appeared in publications such as The Boston Phoenix, The Improper Bostonian, and Bright Lights.
As Assistant Director of the COM Writing Center, Hall supervises a staff of 10 graduate student tutors. He has been active in the regional and national writing center community, and he has co-authored several articles on collaboration and ESL tutoring in national writing center journals.
