 
Larry Lucchino, president and CEO of the Boston Red Sox, delivered the University's 135th Commencement address. William Hayling, physician and founder of a national minority mentoring program, gave the Baccalaureate Address. Others who received honorary degrees during the Commencement Exercises were: Earle Chiles, president of Earle Chiles and Affiliated Companies, philanthropist, and University Trustee Emeritus; tennis legend and women's rights advocate Billie Jean King; and Millard "Mickey" Drexler, chairman and CEO of J.Crew.
