Parking and Public Transportation Graduate applauds during commencement

Unless used as a convocation site, all parking facilities will be open and without charge for general Commencement parking.

The Babcock Street lot and a portion of the Agganis Arena garage will be reserved for handicapped parking during the All-University Commencement; a special permit indicating the designated parking location will be required to park between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Commencement Day. This special parking permit must be obtained in advanced.  You may submit your request for this special permit via the Disability Services Accommodation Request Form.

Portions of each of our open garages and lots will also be reserved for handicapped parking at on-campus school/college convocations; permits for these spaces may be requested via the Accommodation Request Form.

In anticipation of heavy traffic and parking demand both on-campus and along Commonwealth Avenue, we urge you to use public transportation.

A major public works initiative designed to enhance pedestrian safety and beautify the urban landscape along Commonwealth Avenue from Kenmore Square to just west of the BU Bridge will be ongoing during May 2008. The surrounding University community will likely experience some disruption during the project period. Please visit the Project website to check on current conditions.

Shuttle buses will operate continuously along Commonwealth Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. to transport guests to Nickerson Field and on-campus convocation sites. The shuttles will service designated stops along their route and will make additional stops upon request.
