The Roman Catholic Center at Boston University, Newman House, will celebrate two Masses during Commencement weekend. On Saturday, May 17, a Baccalaureate Mass will be held at 4 p.m. at Marsh Chapel, 735 Commonwealth Avenue. Immediately following this Mass, there will be a reception for graduates and their guests in the lower level of Marsh Chapel. On Sunday, May 18, there will be a Mass offered at 6 p.m. at Marsh Chapel. Any questions or requests for more information should be directed to the Catholic Center at 617-353-3632.
On Friday, May 16 at 6 p.m. Hillel House will host a champagne reception for graduating students and their guests. Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox Shabbat Services will be held at 7:30 p.m.; a festive Shabbat dinner followed by a performance of Kol Echad, Hillel’s a cappella group, will begin at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, May 17, Orthodox Shabbat Services will begin at 9:30 a.m.; Conservative and Reform Services will begin at 10 a.m. Lunch will be held at noon. All services, programs, and meals will be held at the Florence and Chafetz Hillel House, 213 Bay State Road. Please call Hillel at 617-353-7200 to make reservations.
