Payment Options


Our staff at Student Accounting Services are available to answer any questions you might have regarding payment options, and we will do our very best to ensure that your payment process is smooth and convenient.


Electronic Payment

For your convenience, you can make a payment using a U.S. bank account online at www.bu.edu/studentlink. Select "Money Matters," then "Student Account Inquiry," and click on the "Make a Payment" link.

You can also grant access to parents, legal guardian, or other third parties to make payments on your student account. You may log on to the Student Link at www.bu.edu/studentlink, select "Personal," and click on the "ShareLink Access" link.


Personal Check, Money Order, Traveler's Check
  • For your convenience, you can make payments electronically.
  • Please make checks payable to Boston University, in U.S. dollars.
  • Be sure to include your name and University identification number on the front of each check.
  • We regret that postdated checks cannot be accepted.
  • If you choose to send a check using regular mail, please address the payment to the post office (P.O.) box number listed on your invoice.
  • Please note: If you choose to send payments by an overnight delivery service, please use our postal address: Student Accounting Services, 881 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215. Overnight delivery to the P.O. box number or any other address, may delay your payment.

  • Please wire funds in U.S. dollars only, and be sure to include your name and University identification number on the wire transfer.
  • Because it can take several weeks for an international bank to notify Boston University's bank that money has been wired, we recommend that international students wire funds well before the payment deadline and fax a copy of the bank receipt, with the dollar amount transferred, to Student Accounting Services at (617)353-3313.
  • Processing charges and bank fees for international wire transfers vary and may be charged to your student account.

Credit Card Payment (Part-time Students Only):

If you attend Boston University on a part-time basis during the academic year, or if you are a visiting student enrolled on a part-time basis, you may make your payment by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or Discover). Credit card payments can be made online using the Student Link at www.bu.edu/studentlink. Select "Money Matters," then "Student Account Inquiry," and click on the "Make a Payment" link.
