Training, Dissemination & Technical Assistance (TDTA) Program Mission
The mission of the TDTA program of this Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) is to increase the use of new knowledge and technology in the areas of recovery and recovery–oriented psychiatric rehabilitation by an increasing number of consumers, family members, practitioners, service providers, researchers, policy makers and others and their organizations in order to better assist people with serious psychiatric disabilities in achieving their goals.
Areas of Concentration
The priorities set forth by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research and the Center for Mental Health Services (1) in the Federal Register directed this RRTC toward discovering the concepts and dimensions of recovery and the various factors that inhibit and facilitate recovery from long-term mental illness. RRTC Training projects are organized into three main areas:
