Applying for Aid as an Incoming Applicant

Boston University recognizes academic excellence. We consider academic performance when awarding University need-based grant, and offer a wide variety of merit awards, some of which cover full tuition. See Grants and Scholarships and Probability of Receiving University Scholarships and Need-Based Grants for more information.

In addition, we offer a number of loans and financing options to assist families in paying their share of educational expenses.

Although we hope that families can make decisions about where a student will attend based on academic programs and other educational considerations, we understand that many want to compare awards from different institutions. Because schools vary greatly in cost of attendance and components of aid awards (grant, loan, work), you should make comparisons carefully. The College Board can help you compare accurately.
