Students denied University and/or federal and state financial aid for failure to meet satisfactory academic progress standards are advised of their right to appeal the decision to the Office of Financial Assistance.
Aid may be fully or partially reinstated if the student documents a change in their academic record, which enables him or her to meet the academic criteria for renewal. A student may also request reconsideration based on documented extenuating circumstances. Students are advised that the Office of Financial Assistance must receive their written appeal by August 1.
The Office of Financial Assistance does not make academic decisions. If circumstances warrant, we will request the cooperation and assistance of your academic dean.
