Yue Min

China


Ms. Yue Min has been an English lecturer at the Foreign Language College of Guangxi University of China since 2001. She began her career in 1987, as a middle school English teacher, and soon advanced to the position of dean of the English Department at Quinzhou Teacher's College in 1995. In addition to her extensive teaching experience, Ms. Yue Min has been recognized as an expert and leading scholar in the National College Entrance Exam paper scoring system for ten years.

In 2001, Ms. Yue Min earned her master's degree in foreign and applied linguistics at Guangxi University and is an active participant in the research and development of TESOL theories and practices.

During her Humphrey year, Ms. Yue Min will study linguistics and modern theories of language education and acquisition. She plans to observe English teaching firsthand by visiting American schools and participating in the educational process. In addition to her observation of the U.S. English teaching system, Ms. Yue Min hopes to share her knowledge of English teaching practices in China with her U.S. counterparts.
