Ms.
Salvador has worked as a political journalist for almost
20 years in Brazil. During this period, she has occupied
many different positions in magazines and national newspapers
in her country. Between 1988 and 1992, she worked for
Veja, the most influential weekly magazine in Brazil.
After that, she worked for Correio Braziliense, a newspaper
from Brasilia, as editor-in-chief of the Correio Braziliense
bureau in Sao Paulo and, later, political analyst. Ms.
Salvador signed a daily column in Correio Braziliense
for two years before coming to the USA. Ms. Salvador
has a MSc degree in International Studies from Birmingham
University, England.
Ms. Salvador intends to follow the American national
election this year. A part of her project for the Humphrey
Fellowship at Boston University is to enhance her knowledge
about the American electoral system and study the impact
of political marketing on voters.
