
If
you are interested in applying for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship
Program, and you meet the specified criteria, you can receive an
application at your country's United States Department of State
Post or Fulbright Commission.
US
citizens or dual-nationals are NOT eligible for this program.
Candidates
interested can receive an application for the Humphrey Fellowship
Program through one of the following agencies in their home country:

Fellowships
are granted competitively to professional candidates with a commitment
to public service in both the public and private sectors. The Humphrey
Program hosts fellows in the fields of:
- Natural
resorces and environmental management
- Public
policy analysis and public administration
- Economic
development
- Agricultural
development/Agricultural Economics
- Finance
and banking
- Human
resource management/Personnel
- Urban
and regional planning
- Public
health policy and management
- Technology
policy and management
- Educational
planning
- Communications/Journalism
- Drug
Abuse Education, Prevention and Treatment
Interested
applicants must apply in their home countries to the United States
Department of State Posts or Fulbright Commissions.
After
national selection, final nominations are reviewed in the United
States by independent review committees. These review committees
make recommendations to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship
Board.
Awards
are announced by April each year for Fellowships beginning in August/September.
To
be eligible for a Humphrey Fellowship, applicants must have:
- An
undergraduate degree
- Five
years of substantial professional experience
- Demonstrated
leadership qualities and record of public service
- Fluency
in English
