Status of Applications to the Graduate Program in History, Fall 2009 |
|
To display information on the status of your application to the graduate program:
Enter the 3-digit ID number sent to you by the department. Then click on the "Display Information" button. Some browsers are unable to display the information correctly; in those cases consult the master list of applicants.
See further notes below. |
Please note: Transcripts are listed only for those institutions from which a degree (bachelor's or higher) was earned. Two letters of recommendation are required. If an applicant indicates more than two letters are being submitted, the application is not considered complete until all letters have been received; if the applicant wishes to have the application considered with fewer letters, he or she must contact the department. An application is considered incomplete until official GRE scores are received, but the admissions committee will make a decision on the basis of scores reported by the applicant. A writing sample (not more than 40 pages) is required of all applicants. Once a departmental decision on admission has been made, the application is returned to the Graduate School, which within approximately a week will mail an official letter to the applicant. This website will display the date of the departmental decision but not the actual decision itself. Please do not contact the department for this information; official notification must come from the Graduate School. Note that, particularly for several weeks before and after the January 15 deadline, missing credentials may still be on their way from the Graduate School to the department--a great deal of material arrives in January and February.
