Dual Degrees

The Boston University Collaborative Degree Program

The Boston University Collaborative Degree Program (BUCOP) offers students the opportunity to receive undergraduate degrees concurrently from two schools or colleges within Boston University. Students may apply for admission to BUCOP any time after the completing the first year at the School of Hospitality Administration, but no later than the middle of the junior year. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required and a minimum of 144 credits must be earned in the fewer than 36 courses; some programs require more.

Requirements:
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA to enter BUCOP
  • A minimum of 36 courses (144 credits), three semesters in residency, and good academic standing
  • Admission to BUCOP depends upon the agreement of both colleges in involved.
  • A well-thought out two page (typed) statement of intent is required
  • Only eight courses may be accumulated from summer work
  • Graduation requirements, honors, and distinctions are administered by each separate college or school
  • Students are responsible for consulting regularly with their academic counselors from both schools.
