4997/K118 - SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR III, UNIVERSITY INFORMATION SYSTEMS, GRADE 56
Maintain a high degree of performance and integrity for all database software and University data. Consult with application staff regarding database efficiency and communicate improvements to staff. Monitor system for performance problems and research and/or apply remedy for such problems. Perform database file maintenance to ensure continued peak performance. Carry out routine and emergency procedures for database back-up and recovery, install utilities and software which enhance performance. Requires: B.A./B.S. or equivalent, M.A. preferred, and three to ten years of ADABAS performance/tuning or equivalent and MVS system support experience. (Josephine Tompkins)$$$
