Boston University Libraries subscribe to powerful and specialized online databases that provide access to information not easily found on the "free" World Wide Web. In this session, you will learn how to conduct research using library databases. The class will focus on appropriate selection, searching efficiently, and managing results. A variety of databases such as PsycInfo, Web of Science, and Business Source Premier will be covered and participants will perform searches on topics and databases of interest to them.
This class complements
the session "Power-Searching the Web: Getting the Most Out of Google"
but can stand alone. Staff should feel free to sign up for one or both of these
classes.
