Library Access Policy
The Boston University Pappas Law Library is a private research facility that exists primarily to support the educational and research needs of the Boston University community. The Pappas Law Library is open to all Boston University students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Current students, faculty and staff from colleges and universities in the Boston Library Consortium and the New England Law Library Consortium can access the library for specific research projects after filling out an affiliated visitor application form and presenting their consortium or university identification cards.
All other researchers who desire the use of unique materials in the Pappas Law Library collections must request prior permission to access the library for short-term legal research. Please contact Terri Geiger, 617 353-8881, Monday - Friday, 9AM - 4PM to request access privileges. If permission is given, upon arrival researchers must complete an application form and present identification at the main circulation desk.
Researchers who receive permission may access the Pappas Law Library during the following hours:

(The library is closed summer weekends and holidays)
To maintain a quiet environment during examination periods, law library access is limited to Boston University law students and other Boston University researchers who require our legal collections and Boston University alumni.. The third floor of the library is always reserved for the use of Boston University law school students and law school alumni.

Food is not allowed in the library. Beverages may be brought in covered containers only. No beverages are allowed in the computer or microform areas or in online training rooms.
