Databases & Electronic Resources
The Law Library subscribes to a number of databases for legal and non-legal research. In addition to these databases, law library users have access to most databases licensed by the Boston University libraries. Many electronic resources may be accessed via the wireless network or from off-campus locations by current BULaw students, faculty, and staff.
The following legend lists restrictions for electronic databases:
- BULaw = School of Law students, faculty, and staff
- BU = Boston University students, faculty, and staff
- ChRiv = Charles River Campus (incl. BULaw)
- LexisNexis = LexisNexis password required
- On campus = Only accessible on campus; no home or wireless access
- Password = Request password from law reference librarian
- Web = free access via web
- Westlaw = Westlaw password required
Due to licensing restrictions, LexisNexis and Westlaw passwords are only issued to current BULaw students, faculty and staff.
