Training & Orientation Programs for Law Journal Members

The library offers a variety of training sessions, services, and research guides for law journal members.

The reference librarians offer tech check research training during the first weeks of classes. These journal specific sessions provide tools and tips for locating materials for citation checking assignments.

All new journal members are required to attend Lexis and Westlaw training for law journals. Only those students who attend training will be connected to the free printers. During journal orientation week, journal-specific sessions are offered at a time selected by the journal's editor-in-chief. In addition to journal-specific sessions, open sessions are offered for those students who are unable to attend their journal's session. We strongly encourage you to attend the sessions arranged for your journal, as they will cover resources specific to your journal's topic.

Journal editors may also request additional training sessions to cover topics relevant to their journals, as well as general journal training sessions such as The Bluebook for Law Journal Members.
