You will need to choose a location (Pardee or Mugar); Pardee if your course focuses more on the business/marketing side of things, Mugar if your students will need communications or economics books. Mugar has both VCR and DVD players for personal copies of videos that you might want to make available to your students through Reserve Services.
The Reserve Services page will allow you to both select the right form and fill it out online.
Faculty members are welcome to request instruction in library research
for their classes. Please allow sufficient lead time for us to schedule
your class.

Number of students in the class.
Day, date and time you would like to bring classes to the library.

Krasker
Film/Video Services provides instructional support to Boston University
faculty, staff, and current students. Films and videos owned by Boston University
are listed in the on-line catalogue. The collection is not available to outside
organizations, student groups, or the public. Krasker is part of the BU Media
Group, which also provides classroom support services such as projection equipment.
The Geddes
Language Center has
two rooms dedicated for video viewing in large groups. Classes often meet
in these rooms for showings, either during or outside class time.
Video
Studio -
The larger of the two screening rooms, equipped with a TV and projector.
Viewing
Room - The smaller movie theatre style screening room with surround sound
and a plasma HDTV.
Instructors may also place personal copies of videos on Reserve at this location.
Request through the Virtual
Catalog for book delivery in 3-5 days.
InterLibrary Loan
Services can get free article copies, less-widely-held books, documents and dissertations in approximately 2 weeks.
(You can choose to have articles delivered to either Mugar or Pardee).
A BLC
Consortium Card will allow you to borrow material directly on site from
our BLC partners.
A Boston
Public Library eCard will give you free access
to databases and collections of BPL (for example, Early American Newspapers).
Mugar Library has the PAL Study Lounge on the 3rd floor of the library for group study. The
Martin Luther King Reading Room may also serve this purpose (although it closes at 4:30pm M-F).
Are power outlets available for laptops? Will I have internet access?
Mugar has power outlets at every workstation on the 2nd and
3rd floors.
All the BU Libraries provide wireless service, but it is available only to BU students, staff and faculty. VPN (Virtual Private Network) software is required to access the BU wireless network. (download here)
Ethernet ports are no longer available in Mugar Library.
Is printing available at Mugar or Pardee?
Mugar has a Resnet Lab, which allows printing from your ACS print quota.
Mugar Library has both VCR and DVD
players for viewing videos placed on Reserve.
