Lexis/Hoover's Industry Snapshots

1.  In Lexis-Nexis, click the "Business" link in the upper-left corner. 

2.  In the Business section, choose the "Company Profiles" link.  This will take you to a screen like the picture on the right. 

3.  In the Company Profiles screen, select "Hoover Company Reports" from the pull-down menu labeled "Source." 

4.  In the box labeled "Narrow search with additional terms," type the word "snapshots."  Then click search.  This will give you a list of all the Hoover's Industry Snapshots available in Lexis-Nexis.

5.  Narrow the list by typing a keyword in the "FOCUS" box at the top of the page and clicking the "Search Within Results" button.

Mergent Industry Profiles

1. On the Mergent homepage, click the "enter mergent online" button in the upper-left corner. 

2.  Choose the "Industry Reports" tab, shown in the screenshot at right.

3.  Use the pull-down menus to select an industry and region.  Then click the Search button.

4.  In the list of search results, use the green "View" and "Download" links to view the industry profile in your web browser or download it as a PDF.

Business Source Complete Industry Profiles
(eg, Datamonitor, Plunkett's)

1.  Links from the Industry Survey Locator will take you directly to the Publication Details screen.  From here, choose the link labeled "Full Text: [date] to present." 

2.  Choose the survey you want from the list, and click the "PDF Full Text" link to view or download the PDF.
